The Journey

Pos Kuala Mu Sungai Siput - Ecotourism Destination

It takes approximately 4 hours from KL to get here and the last 70KM ride is exciting with a lot of corners the condition of the road is fully tarmac (A little broken here and there but no problems).

The Chalets

The chalets in Pos Kuala Mu may be missing luxury features and facilities but they are unique and were built entirely out of forest resources such as bamboo and bertam (a plant in the palm family that grows in the forest), both of which are closely linked with the Temiar tribe.

Called Bersah Chalet, Dusun Chalet and Kampung Gapeh Campsite, all three started operating in 2017 and have succeeded in attracting large crowds during the weekends and school holidays.

Each chalet comes with a lamp, mattresses, duvets and mosquito nets but there is no wall plaque for charging electrical equipment(s). However, visitors can use the facility in the hall located next to the office counter. Bathroom and toilet facilities are located across the street, not far from the Chalet.

If you prefer to cook, you can do it just outside of the Chalet and water pipes are provided.

In addition to staying in the lodges provided, visitors can also choose to sleep in tents or hammocks that are tied to tree trunks.

Pos Kuala Mu is suitable for all sorts of people, especially for those looking for a quiet place close to nature. You can also do your own activities to keep yourself busy and if you’re in a big group, try to organize a team building event.

Please note there is just one small grocery store at this place and no restaurant. You will need to bring your own food and beverages before coming here. Yes, you can do barbeque here!
